Pug growth chart
The dots mark one year. Growth is fastest in the first months and slows after that.
How this estimate is made
Two sources are combined. The adult weight comes from the American Kennel Club breed standard for the Pug, which says: "14 to 18 pounds (dog or bitch) desirable." The shape of growth is the average curve of the small breeds in a published study of puppies from 12 breeds (Cocker Spaniel, Miniature Schnauzer, Cairn Terrier). We scaled that curve to the Pug's standard adult weight. We did not find a published growth table measured on Pugs, so these are estimates and not measurements for the breed. For a check on your own puppy, use the puppy size calculator and the body condition check.
