How this estimate is made
Two sources are combined. The adult weight comes from the American Kennel Club breed standard for the French Bulldog, which says: "Not to exceed 28 pounds." The shape of growth is the average curve of the small breeds in a published study of puppies from 12 breeds (Cocker Spaniel, Miniature Schnauzer, Cairn Terrier). We scaled that curve to the French Bulldog's standard adult weight. We did not find a published growth table measured on French Bulldogs, so these are estimates and not measurements for the breed.
